About Us

The Tufts University Advancement Division encompasses more than 130 staff members working in both development — or fundraising — and in alumni relations. Central administrative offices are located in Packard Hall on the Medford/Somerville campus. Development and alumni relations staff also work closely with their respective schools on the health sciences campus in downtown Boston and at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Grafton.

The mission statement of the Advancement Division reflects an inherent responsibility to sustain and strengthen Tufts through raising critical funds and through enhancing opportunities for alumni involvement.

The University Advancement Division builds strong long-term relationships with Tufts University’s constituents and matches their aspirations with the university’s evolving priorities.

The University Advancement Division seeks and marshals human and financial resources necessary for the university to achieve excellence in teaching, research and scholarship. We serve the academic agenda of the university by engaging Tufts alumni, organizations, faculty, parents, and friends in mutually beneficial philanthropy and volunteerism.

Our vision will be achieved in a supportive, creative and innovative atmosphere dedicated to professional excellence and ongoing development and characterized by the principles of integrity, collegiality, diversity, accountability, mutual trust, and respect for the individual.
