(Rapid Prototyping)

What is Rapid Prototyping? Rapid prototyping is a process, developed in the 1980's, by which a solid physical model of a part is made directly from a three dimensional CAD drawing. Rapid protyping is also called desktop manufacturing or free-form fabrication. The definition of a prototype is the first full scale model of a product.
